Top Ten: Those Were The Days

It was my grandmother’s funeral today, so this week’s Top Ten is in her honour. Born at the height of the Roaring Twenties into a sleepy part of England, she would not have been aware of the lure of ’20s directly, but I like to imagine that she would have enjoyed the era had she be old enough to do so! In the decades since then, a number of excellent films have brought the period to life – of these, the BFI has picked out its favourites.
