Take Five: February 24-March 2

A snapshot of this week’s movie news:

1. Movie 43 ‘wins’ at the Razzies, taking Worst Director, Worst Screenplay and Worst Picture.

2. Harold Ramis (best known for Groundhog Day and Ghostbusters) has died aged 69.

3. Video game Minecraft is headed for the big screen, courtesy of Warner Bros.

4. BBC drama Ripper Street is to return, courtesy of new deal with Amazon.

5. Disney is planning it’s own digital movie service.

PS. As I don’t have access to a Sky subscription, I shall not be staying up late to watch the Oscars tonight, but I will be posting my comments tomorrow.
